Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is gaining popularity as a natural, minimally invasive approach for facial rejuvenation, utilizing growth factors from the patient's own blood to stimulate collagen production and tissue regeneration. This study aims to evaluate and compare the clinical efficacy of PRP injections versus PRP combined with microneedling in enhancing facial skin texture, tone, and overall aesthetic improvement. A total of 40 patients with signs of facial aging were enrolled and divided into two groups: one receiving intradermal PRP injections and the other undergoing PRP microneedling. Treatments were performed in multiple sessions at monthly intervals. Outcomes were assessed using standardized clinical photography, patient satisfaction scores, and patient pain score. Both treatment modalities resulted in visible improvement in facial rejuvenation parameters. However, the PRP microneedling group demonstrated more significant enhancements in skin smoothness, and uniformity in tone and texture. Patient-reported satisfaction was also higher in the microneedling group. And pain was lesser as compared to other group. The combination of PRP with microneedling appears to offer synergistic benefits by enhancing PRP absorption and stimulating deeper dermal remodeling. In conclusion, while both PRP injections and PRP microneedling are effective in facial rejuvenation, combining microneedling with PRP provides superior clinical outcomes and higher patient satisfaction. Further large-scale, long-term studies are warranted to establish optimal treatment protocols and assess sustained benefits.
