Associating education and teaching with daily life by taking into account the differences in the learning styles of learners and addressing the interests and needs of learners is one of the most important principles in language teaching studies at the universal level. The problem statement of the study is “Which types of authentic materials are used in Turkish language teaching, how often, for what purpose and how?” In this direction, the aim of the study is to determine the opinions and experiences of Turkish teachers on this issue. Basic qualitative research method and case study design were used in the study. In order to reach the experiences and opinions of Turkish language teachers (69 instructors) on authentic materials in their lessons, data were collected through a semi-structured interview form consisting of 15 questions via a link, face-to-face and by filling in printouts. Categorical analysis, one of the types of content analysis, was used in the evaluation. It was concluded that teachers did not have detailed knowledge about authentic materials, similar answers were given to the questions, the authentic materials used were shaped according to the textbooks. In this direction, literary and informative texts, videos, photographs, drawings, cartoons, web pages were prioritized and other authentic materials were not used sufficiently and neglected.
