An Astrometric and Spectroscopic Study of Red Giants in the Open Cluster IC 2714

T. Flaulhabe, N. Holanda, C. B. Pereira

Abstract

In this work, we aim to analyze the physical and chemical properties of the open cluster IC 2714 from a sample of 8 red giants. We utilize high-resolution spectroscopy in order to determine atmospheric parameters, rotational velocities and chemical abundances of 21 elements in the stars of our sample. In addition, we utilize astrometry data to conduct a membership study and we estimate the physical parameters of the cluster, using isochrone fitting. In our analysis, we have identified three stars with anomalous rotation, including a possible lithium-rich candidate. We intend to present an unprecedented work for the open cluster IC 2714, reinforcing chemical evolution and chemical gradients models, and to reveal an intriguing possible lithium-rich candidate, offering important contributions in the context of open clusters in the Galaxy.
