All the World’s a Stage: Narrative and Empathy in Action
Shaun GallagherI argue that we can gain an understanding of empathy in terms of a tight intertwining circuitry between basic embodied resonance and narrative practices by investigating how it works in aesthetic contexts involving painting, sculpting, and acting. What we learn from this analysis also applies to our everyday experience of the actions of others.
