Nadezhda Pomogaeva, Oleg Shatrovoy

The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between life-meaning orientations of the individual, experience of participation in armed conflicts, and the severity of mechanisms of moral disengagement in military personnel. Research methods and organization. The study employed methods including a review of the scientific and methodological literature, surveys, testing, and statistical analysis. The research took place at the Military Educational Institution of Logistics named after General of the Army A.V. Khrulyov. Research results and conclusions. Analysis of the research results revealed a negative relationship between life-meaning orientations and the severity of moral disengagement mechanisms. An interpretation of moral disengagement is proposed as a subjective psychological response to the objective structural alienation inherent in military labor.
