Background
Global nursing courses are rapidly attempting to utilise large language models (LLMs), and generative AI such as ChatGPT now traverses the traditional classroom–clinical divide.
Methods
This study conducted a qualitative descriptive investigation to explore nursing students' specific experiences and transformations in AI‐based learning.
Results
Four interrelated themes were identified: AI‐Driven Transformation of Nursing Students' Learning Behaviour Patterns; Emotional‐Cognitive Shifts in Nursing Students Through AI‐Based Learning; Self‐Directed Learning Outcomes in Nursing Students Using AI‐Based Learning and Adaptive Challenges.
Conclusions
The findings offer evidence‐based insights into how nursing students can leverage AI to navigate rapidly changing nursing education and healthcare environments worldwide.
