Afterword: Graeme Turner's cultural legacies
Jean Burgess, Gerard GogginIn this article, we reflect on the cultural legacies of the work of Professor Graeme Turner, a giant in the field of communication, media and cultural studies, especially in his late flourishing as a public intellectual. We note that Graeme’s impact on the field, on policy, on universities, and on public conversations on culture, politics and society has been profound. Crucially also that his influence upon, and support and care for the lives and careers of generations of academics, extends well beyond his individual work as a scholar.
