Africa and International Management: Why Bother?

Terence Jackson

The notion of a border, or maybe of what is outside the border, is presented in this discussion on the neglect of Africa in the IB literature. It is interesting to note that one answer to this question on why Africa is neglected is the lack of interest in Africa by MNEs. In a way, this is corroboration to the argument that MNEs define the borders between those countries that belong to the FDI-MNE world and those that do not belong.
