In this study, the spatial accuracy of the geographical data produced by the mobile mapping method was analyzed according to the speed of the mobile mapping tool, the measurement time difference, the camera shooting distance of the produced data and the differences in the picture shooting distances. In addition, relative accuracy analyzes were made and its usability in the measurements of geometric shapes was investigated. The usability of the obtained results in the production of inventory on the highway route was examined, and the usability was revealed according to the analysis and results. Measurements were made with a mobile mapping system on a 40 km road network. Existing traffic signs and plates on this highway route were produced by photogrammetric method. In this study, usability and accuracy criteria of mobile mapping systems are discussed for the creation of transportation inventory and transportation decision support systems.
