Accidental ocular exposure to nonophthalmic preparations can result in significant chemical injury. We report a rare case of bilateral corneal epithelial defects following accidental instillation of ayurvedic camphor inhalation drops in a 60-year-old female due to similar product packaging. The patient presented with pain, photophobia, and reduced vision, and slit-lamp examination revealed diffuse corneal epithelial defects in both eyes on fluorescein staining. Prompt medical management with copious irrigation, topical lubricants, topical steroids, cycloplegics, and supportive therapy resulted in rapid epithelial healing with a favorable visual outcome. This case highlights camphor-induced ocular surface toxicity and underscores the importance of preventive strategies such as standardized packaging, clear labeling, and patient education to avoid such preventable injuries.
