Abrocitinib for Severe Atopic Dermatitis and Prurigo Nodularis: An Indian Case Series

Abrocitinib is a second generation selective JAK 1 inhibitor. It is the newest addition to the armamentarium of atopic dermatitis (AD). It was recently approved by US FDA for the management of severe atopic dermatitis in patients who were refractory to other systemic therapies, including biologics. It has proven efficacy and safety in many randomized controlled trials, with an efficacy better than Dupilumab in atopic dermatitis. It has also been used as an off-label drug in many other dermatological conditions like prurigo nodularis, lichen sclerosis, alopecia areata, lichen amyloidosis etc. However, its experience in India is limited.
