About this title - The Cryogenian Port Askaig Glaciation in Scotland and Ireland

The Port Askaig Formation is a 1100 m thick record of the Sturtian glaciation comprising 17 glacial advances, some involving remarkable glaciotectonism, 27 periglacial episodes and intervening non-glacial intervals. The volume documents the complex changes in palaeoclimate, marine dolomite, iron oxides, clast stratigraphy, provenances and depositional environments.
