ABNORMAL INTRATHORACIC POSITIONING OF THE HEART AND LENGTH OF SERVICE. CLINICAL CASE OF SITUS INVERSUS TOTALIS IN A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

NOVIKOVThe article considers the problem of abnormal intrathoracic positioning of the heart – a rare condition whose share reaches up to 1.5% of all the congenital heart defects. One of the variants of abnormal intrathoracic positioning of the heart is situs inversus totalis (complete inversion of internal organs). The article presents a case of situs inversus totalis without concomitant pathology in a law enforcement officer with 23 years of service at the time of superannuation retirement.
