Ayanda Zona Nikita DlovaAbstract
This autobiographical chapter outlines my journey from my birthplace in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, to my relocation to Pretoria, Gauteng. It begins with my early childhood in the small village of eMgobozweni, where I was raised by my grandparents, who were both educators deeply involved in the community. The narrative then transitions to my move to Pretoria with my mother, marking a significant cultural shift. It explores my educational experiences at Oost-Eind Laerskool and Pro Arte Alphen Park, highlighting my adaptation to new languages and environments. The chapter summarises my tertiary education at the University of Free State, where I encountered diverse cultures and engaged in student politics.
