A Test for Point‐symmetry in J‐dimensional Contingency‐Cubes

A test for point‐symmetry in a J ‐dimensional contingency‐cube is described in an exact and an asymptotic version. The asymptotic version is illustrated by a numerical example. The importance of this test for the application of multivariate parametric methods is discussed.
