A Study on the Management Status and Service Satisfaction of Medical Aesthetics

Ye-Seo Jo, Mi-Young Yun

This study aimed to investigate the management practices and service satisfaction of medical aesthetic users and to examine differences according to demographic characteristics. A survey was conducted among 291 individuals with prior experience in medical aesthetic services, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 25.0 through frequency analysis and chi-square tests (<i>p</i><.05). The results revealed significant differences in management practices and service satisfaction according to age, occupation, income level, and skin-care investment. Individuals in their 40s and 50s accounted for the largest proportion of users. The major perceived advantages of medical aesthetic services included professional medical procedures, advanced aesthetic devices, and physician expertise. Key satisfaction factors were advanced medical equipment, service friendliness, professional consultation, effective problem resolution, and systematic post-care management. More than 60% of respondents reported positive treatment effects; however, improvement needs were identified in safety management, reduction of side effects, and provision of accurate pre-treatment information. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction in medical aesthetics is influenced not only by procedural effectiveness but also by professional consultation and overall service quality. Therefore, customized customer-centered service strategies and integrated quality management throughout consultation, treatment, and post-care processes are necessary to enhance sustainable customer satisfaction and service competitiveness in the medical aesthetic industry.
