This paper examines a Roman-period chalk stamp discovered in the Jerusalem Western Wall Plaza excavations, which shows a negative impression of the egg-and-dart motif. The artifact is likely a stamp used to decorate plaster in domestic settings during the Early Roman period, specifically before 70 CE.
