Abortions are very common in the rst and second trimesters of pregnancy, and thrombophilia can be a contributing factor. Protein C and S deciency are rare, inherited or acquired disorders that can increase the risk of thrombophilia. These women particularly, have a higher risk of developing blood clots in the placental blood vessels leading to placental insufciency and, ultimately, to grave fetal complications. This is a case report of the successful management of a case of bad obstetric history in a diagnosed case of Protein C and S deciency with the use of adequate antepartum and postpartum thromboprophylaxis leading to favourable maternal and fetal outcome.
