This chapter will focus on how connecting in close friendships, romantic relationships, or social networks can be the foundation for emotional health and personal fulfillment. Using Black Feminist Epistemology, the authors will examine the psychological and social benefits of nurturing meaningful relationships. This chapter will center on the experiences of Black women as the authors highlight some ways that sisterhood can foster resilience, joy, and mutual growth.
