Hydrazine (N 2 H 4 ) is a highly toxic pollutant that seriously threatens ecological environments and human health, so rapid and sensitive detection approaches are urgently required. In this study, a new fluorescent probe BCO was synthesized via the condensation of 3H‐benzo[ f ]chromene‐2‐carbaldehyde and 1,3‐dimethylbarbituric acid. In CH 3 CN/Tris medium (6/4, v / v ), BCO displays high selectivity and strong anti‐interference toward hydrazine, featuring an ultrafast response within 5 s, a Stokes shift over 100 nm, and a low detection limit of 2.13 µM. After reacting with hydrazine, the solution changes from orange to colorless along with fluorescence quenching, allowing naked‐eye discrimination. Practically, BCO realizes qualitative and quantitative analysis of hydrazine in water, soil, and plant samples. Furthermore, BCO can perform fluorescence imaging of hydrazine in living cells. Therefore, this probe provides an effective tool for environmental surveillance and biomedical research.
