Jiao Yang, Chao Yang, Chunyan Cao, Shengde Yang, Shisong Huang, Yulan Jian, Jie DingIn this work, a three-dimensional (3D) tubular composite electrode was fabricated for the high-sensitivity electrochemical detection of ascorbic acid (AA). The differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) was employed to investigate the electrochemical behavior of AA at the composite electrode, and the overall electrochemical performance of the sensor was systematically evaluated. Experimental results indicated that this composite electrode exhibited excellent sensitivity toward AA detection. A favorable linear relationship between current intensity and AA concentration was obtained over the concentration range of 20 to 600 μM, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 4.8 μM. Moreover, the composite electrode was successfully applied to detect AA in orange juice for real-sample analysis. The 3D tubular-structured composite electrode developed in this work showed promising application potential for the rapid detection of AA in the field of food safety.
