Background: Haemorrhoids are one of the common clinical conditions affecting most of the population. Materials and Method: This was a prospective observational study comparing the three types of surgical procedures for haemorrhoids in 60 patients. Total 20 patients were included in each of the group of Milligan-Morgan open haemorrhoidectomy (M-M), Minimally invasive Procedures for haemorrhoidectomy (MIPH) and sclerotherapy. Results: Sclerotherapy was performed more in grade 2 haemorrhoids, while grade 3 haemorrhoids had more of MIPH and open haemorrhoidectomy. Overall, all complications were more in the open haemorrhoid group. Duration of hospital stay was also more in open haemorrhoidectomy group. Conclusion: Open haemorrhoidectomy had maximum post operative complications and prolonged stay at the hospital. Sclerotherapy has performed well in our study which was comparable to other studies as well. MIPH remains the proper choice for all grades of haemorrhoids with better patient satisfaction and outcomes.
