A clinical case of a combination of rheumatoid arthritis that debuted with the development of bronchiectasis
S.Yu. Chikina, A.V. KuleshovThe article presents a description of a clinical case of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) that debuted with the development of bronchiectasis (BE) without symptoms of systemic disease. The course of the disease was characterized by insufficient effectiveness of standard therapy for BE and frequent exacerbations of the disease that had no obvious cause. Clinical symptoms of RA appeared 5 years after the onset of the disease. The article also provides a review of the literature on the pulmonary manifestations of RA and the relationship between the pathogenetic mechanisms of RA and BE.
