ABSTRACT

We report on an autologous hematopoietic progenitor cell collection via apheresis (HPC(A)) with adequate CD34+ pre‐count and unexpectedly low collection efficiency resulting in a failed HPC(A) collection. The collection bag contained almost no buffy coat and the plasma was orange. We assess both collection and patient factors that may have contributed to this finding.
