ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is a condition usually associated with ovulation induction. Rarely a non pregnant woman or woman not on ovulation induction treatment has been documented to develop spontaneous ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. In this case study, we describe a female in the pubertal age range who had spontaneous ovarian hyperstimulation and pituitary hyperplasia due to primary hypothyroidism, which improved with thyroid replacement therapy.
