A Case of Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Presenting as a Nasal Mass
MK Goutham, A Raghavi, Vadisha Bhat, Vivek Nagappa, HL Kishan PrasadNeuroendocrine neoplasm is a rare tumor of the head and neck with a high risk of invading adjacent structures, including the orbit, skull base, and soft tissues. Due to its nonspecific symptoms, diagnosis is often delayed, leading to late-stage presentation and reduced overall survival if left untreated. Treatment options include multimodal therapy, with an appropriate surgical approach offering a better disease-free prognosis. Here, we report the case of a young female who presented with nasal obstruction and described its clinical, histologic, and immunohistochemical features, highlighting the successful surgical excision.
