The research status, hotspots, and development trends of blood circulation therapy for diabetic foot from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2025 were analyzed, aimed to provide reference for domestic and foreign scholars to the research of blood circulation therapy for diabetic foot. Publications related to “blood circulation” AND “diabetic foot” in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) and Scopus were searched on December 31, 2025. CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Bibliometric R package were used for bibliometric analysis. A total of 230 papers were retrieved from the WoSCC and Scopus databases. The China and the University of Illinois System were the most influential country and institution, respectively. The journal with the most publications was International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds and the author who was most productive was JanYih-Kuen. A total of 1143 keywords were identified. The research on blood circulation therapy in diabetic foot was still in its infancy. Recent studies mainly focused on complications, evaluation indicators and treatment measures. In this study, bibliometric analysis was used to reveal the current status of blood circulation therapy in diabetic foot research, so as to help researchers understand the hotspots and frontier research directions in this field.
