The quality and diversity of microLED display prototypes are progressing rapidly and first commercial products are coming to market. The technology however has yet to enter high volume consumer applications. This paper discusses the status of the microLED industry including how the supply chain is shaping up and how remaining technology and manufacturing roadblocks are being addressed.
