Abstract:Against deep population aging and the Healthy China strategy, delaying unhealthy aging and improving elderly quality of life have become vital for coping with population aging. Ages 45 to 65 mark a critical period of physical function changes and aging onset. Unhealthy lifestyles and insuffi cient exercise trigger physical deterioration, metabolic disorders and mental disturbance, accelerating pathological aging and resulting in common“ longevity without wellness”. As an inexpensive, safe and widely applicable non-drug intervention, long-term exercise effectively slows aging and facilitates healthy aging. Based on literature review, theoretical deduction and comparative induction, this paper analyzes the multi-dimensional regulatory eff ects of long-term exercise on healthy aging, explores anti-aging mechanisms of diff erent exercise types, and summarizes existing obstacles. Regular long-term exercise jointly alleviates pathological aging by optimizing metabolism, physical fi tness and mental health. Combined aerobic and resistance exercise works best for Chinese middle-aged and elderly residents. This paper clarifi es how exercise promotes healthy aging, off ering theoretical and practical references for anti-aging guidance, community elder health services and early aging prevention.
