Abstract: Depression, as a common "psychological" disorder, significantly affects the quality of life of patients and is characterized by high incidence, high recurrence, and low cure rate. In ancient times, it often referred to disorders such as emotional imbalance, pain in the sides, and breathing difficulties caused by qi stagnation and qi blockage. In Western medicine, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, etc. are commonly referred to as depression diseases. Currently, the number of people suffering from depression in China has reached 95 million [1]. The relevant descriptions of depression have already been initially formed in the "Suwen · Six Elements Comprehensive Discussion" during the Warring States period. The main cause of depression is qi stagnation and qi blockage, which can be prevented in daily life through traditional Chinese medicine that combines food and medicine. This can improve the quality of life of the general public and regulate emotional imbalance caused by qi stagnation and qi blockage, and prevent depression.
