Abstract:Sleep is an essential physiological activity that safeguards physical and mental health. Most patients with schizophreniasuffer from abnormal sleep structure issues, which are also associated with the severity of symptoms, cognitive decline, and poorrecovery after treatment. Currently, clinical treatment focuses more on controlling psychiatric symptoms, and comprehensive assess-ment and targeted intervention for concurrent sleep disorders have not been completed, limiting the overall improvement of treatmentefficacy. This article conducts research on comprehensive intervention strategies and practical effects for addressing abnormal sleepstructure in patients with schizophrenia. After reviewing existing literature and clinical practice, it is found that on the basis of stan-dardized antipsychotic drug treatment, combined interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-I), phototherapy, sleephygiene education, and non-invasive neuromodulation techniques can improve patients' sleep continuity, deepen slow-wave sleep, and partially alleviate daytime fatigue and negative symptoms. These interventions not only directly affect the physiological rhythmof sleep but may also improve patients' psychiatric symptoms by regulating neural plasticity. This article provides a new direction forthe comprehensive management of schizophrenia, proposing to incorporate sleep intervention into core treatment content. Improvingsleep quality can enhance patients' social function and quality of life, and also provide theoretical basis and practical reference for de- veloping individualized and multimodal treatment plans.
