Abstract:With the implementation of the national mandatory immunization system and the development of large-scale pig farms, there are few cases of major infectious diseases such as swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease, and pig blue ear disease detected during slaughter and quarantine in Qiubei County. However, the detection rate of common infectious diseases such as porcine lung disease, porcine erysipelas, and porcine respiratory diseases accounts for more than 50% of the total number of detected diseases. According to statistics, from January 2018 to December 2022, 87803 pigs were quarantined at designated pig slaughterhouses in Qiubei County, and 511 diseased pigs and diseased pork carcasses were detected. Among them, 517 diseased pigs were detected before slaughter, and 246 pigs were infected with swine lung disease, swine erysipelas, and swine asthma, accounting for 47.58% of the total number of diseased pigs detected; After slaughter, 118 diseased pork carcasses were detected, including 65 carcasses with porcine lung disease, porcine erysipelas, and porcine respiratory disease, accounting for 55.08% of the total number of diseased pigs detected. Improving the slaughter and quarantine techniques for common infectious diseases such as porcine lung disease, porcine erysipelas, and porcine respiratory diseases is an important means to ensure the quality and safety of pork food in the entire county and the health of the people, effectively control the spread of animal diseases, promote the healthy development of free range pigs in rural areas, and accelerate the pace of rural economic development.
