陈雷 Lei Chen
Perioperative sleep disorder is a common problem in clinical anesthesia and perioperative medicine. Its inducing mech-anism involves many aspects, such as surgical trauma stress, the influence of narcotic drug residues, environmental changes and the patient's own psychological state. After sleep structure disorder, patients' postoperative fatigue will increase, cognitive ability will decline, and the probability of postoperative delirium, cardiovascular adverse events and chronic pain will be increased. At present, perioperative sleep management mainly depends on environmental intervention and traditional sedative hypnotic drugs. These meth-ods have limitations such as limited efficacy, easy to cause drug dependence and respiratory depression risk, and can not meet the requirements of accelerated rehabilitation surgery for fine management of sleep quality. This article focuses on dexmedetomidine, a highly selective α 2-adrenergic receptor agonist, in order to systematically review its regulatory effects on sleep structure, sleep rhythm and sleep depth at different stages of perioperative period (preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative), and to explore its unique pharmacological advantages different from traditional sedatives.
