Abstract：In contemporary society, the health status of newborns is a major concern. Improving the outcomes of healthy births and infant development is a crucial step in ensuring population quality. This paper focuses on the important role of strictly implementing prenatal screening and emphasizing the quality of prenatal diagnosis in improving these outcomes. Through an in-depth analysis of related processes, technologies, and quality control in prenatal screening and diagnosis, it elaborates that strict implementation of pre- natal screening can effectively identify potential risks of genetic diseases and developmental abnormalities in fetuses. Emphasizing the quality of prenatal diagnosis ensures the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic results, providing a solid foundation for subsequent clinical decision-making. Simultaneously, the paper explores potential challenges encountered in practical work and corresponding solution strategies. The research indicates that strictly implementing prenatal screening and emphasizing the quality of prenatal diag- nosis are vital pathways to improving healthy births and infant development, holding significant importance for enhancing population quality.
