ỨNG DỤNG AI TRONG DẠY VÀ HỌC GUITAR TẠI TRƯỜNG ĐẠI HỌC KHÁNH HÒA: LỢI ÍCH VÀ THÁCH THỨC
Thúy Hà Thị
In the context of digital transformation in arts education,
the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into Guitar training has
created new opportunities for innovating teaching and learning methods at
University of Khanh Hoa. This study examines the role, effectiveness, and
challenges of AI in Guitar teaching and learning, while proposing solutions for
its effective implementation in music education. The research employed a
mixed-methods approach, combining document analysis, classroom observation,
questionnaire surveys, and semi-structured interviews. The study involved five
lecturers and ten students specializing in Guitar and related music courses
during the 2023–2025 period. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical
methods and pre–post comparison to evaluate changes in technical performance
and practice habits. Qualitative data from interviews and observations were
synthesized to support the interpretation of quantitative findings. The
findings suggest that AI may contribute to improving pitch and rhythm accuracy,
increasing practice time, enhancing students’ learning motivation and
self-confidence, and supporting lecturers in assessment and technical
instruction. However, several challenges remain, including technological
dependence, infrastructural limitations, reduced face-to-face interaction, and
the difficulty of replacing emotional and artistic expression in musical
performance. The study concludes that AI should be considered a supportive
educational tool rather than a substitute for lecturers’ pedagogical and
artistic roles. The findings provide practical implications for AI-integrated
Guitar training in Vietnamese higher music education and highlight the
importance of balancing technological innovation with artistic and pedagogical
values.
