The paper reports on investigations on the thermal conductivity of polycrystalline specimens of Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, and Eu in the temperature range 0.5–10° K and discusses possible mechanisms of heat transfer. Experimental results show that the main contribution to the thermal conductivity in the temperature range investigated is made by electrons. An additional contribution, due to the magnetic system, was observed in one Nd specimen at temperatures below 6°K.
