The effective temperature in fluctuation detachment of dislocations from pinning centers

The effective temperature T* which takes into account quantum effects when dislocations are detached by fluctuations from local centers is determined by the mean energy per vibrational degree of freedom. The Debye approximation is used to derive an analytical temperature dependence for T*.
