Model of the supreme ruler of an eastern state in the homeland of Japan

The article examines the essence of the image of the ruler of the countries of the East in medieval times, the origin of power and its connection with sacredness. The author draws attention to the uniqueness of the ruler, his divine source of power, a rather strong sacralization of power, directly related not only to the individuality of the ruler, but also to religion. The religious side played one of the leading roles in the choice of political system, the establishment of supreme power and the relationship between the people and their ruler.
