Integration of Spiritual Formation in Higher Education Courses

Melina W. Rabon

Many seminaries aim to provide students with a theological education designed to gain a greater understanding of God and His Word. This article argues that to the same extent that students need biblical and theological knowledge, they also need knowledge of how to apply the information to mature in Christ. The research presents an educational and biblical rationale for incorporating key aspects of spiritual formation into a curricular design. The intent is to introduce readers to these aspects, alongside andrological strategies and methods, to produce students who develop lifelong learning skills that will deepen and mature them in Christ.
