The influence of ethylene glycol, triethanolamine and of a rigid polyol on the compression behaviour of a microcellular elastomer used in RIM technology, has been studied using multiple linear regression analysis. The importance of the above parameters has been established using the statistical Student's test. It has been found that ethylene glycol has the major influence on compression resistance, hysteresis loss and elastomeric softening, while triethanolamine has a less important or negligible influence on these properties.
