Construction of a scale of isomer shifts using the data of nuclear gamma resonance of neutral iron atoms
V. P. Romanov, E. E. Ovechkina, V. M. KoshkinIn the temperature range 30−300°K, a study is made of nuclear gamma resonance (NGR) on Fe57 nuclei in the semiconductor compounds In2Te3 and Ga2Te3 with a loose crystal lattice. It is shown that the electron density at the Fe57 nuclei in In2Te3 and Ga2Te3 corresponds to the neutral state of the iron atoms with electron configuration 3d74s1. A isomeric shift scale for Fe57 is proposed, which is constructed using NGR data for neutral iron atoms in crystal matrices.
