We report a case of acute pancreatitis after endoscopic removal of the minor duodenal papilla in a woman with a congenital malformation of the pancreatic ductal system. This case demonstrates the role of the minor papilla in the pancreatic function and the ability of pancreatic stenting in the treatment of acute pancreatitis caused by papillary injury.
